 shiraz wine tasting note

tasting notes

shiraz

strong and intense with predominantly vibrant purples

aromas of spicy black cherries and rich chocolate bound up in the sweet vanilla derived from the French oak used during the wine's maturation stage

a medium bodied wine showing all the characteristics of the shirazvariety: spice, pepper and blackberries. The wine has a soft and supple structure, is stylish, well balanced and full of character

can be matured for 6-8 years, well suited to strongly flavoured meat dishessuch as lamb and other roasted meat dishes

a pleasantly warm lead in to what turned out to be a cool harvest
