 riesling wine tasting note

tasting notes

riesling

a youthful and very pale colour

lively citrus characters of ripe limes and tangerines give a wonderfully clean nose. some subtle talc and floral notes add lift and interest

the wine shows a lovely delicacy and finesse on the palate. it is crisp and clean and lingers wonderfully in the mouth. the lime is the dominant fruit character on the palate, backed by the floral notes. the natural acidity gives great structure and balance, yet the wine has a tantalising juiciness to it

the wine is attractive and appealing now, and will age wonderfully for at least ten years

harvest conditions were cool and dry, allowing for slow maturation and maximum flavour development
