tasting notes
riesling
pale straw with green hues
wonderfully floral nose which is lifted and fragrant. There are lime and orange blossom undertones giving an attractive and complex nose
the palate is tight and linear with lime citrus flavours running the length of the palate. The natural acidity gives a tight, crisp and clean structure, and wonderful persistence
the fruit was machine harvested during the cool of the night, to minimise oxidation. Only the free run juice was used, so as to produce fine juice with low phenolics
the wine will age for ten years
there was a cool start to the growing season and vines had a good, healthy start. The summer was warm and consistent, without being excessively hot, so the growth was even and strong
