sauvignon blanc
2009
tasting notes
sauvignon blanc
pale straw with green hues
the nose jumps out of the glass, and shows true varietal characteristics of gooseberry with hints of passionfruit
a wonderfully fresh and lively wine. The gooseberry fruit characters give a rich and generous front palate. The structure shows perfect balance between fruitiness and crisp acidity. The finish is long and clean
sauvignon blanc is made to enhance the rich tropical flavours of the grapes. There were two harvest dates to produce a wine which had a balance of the ripe tropical flavours and the slightly herbaceous flavour spectrum
this wine is designed to be enjoyed while young and fruit driven
there was a cool start to the growing season and vines had a good, healthy start. The summer was warm and consistent, without being excessively hot, so the growth was even and strong
